El Servei d'Endocrinologia i Nutrició de l'Hospital Universitari Son Llàtzer ha participat en una anàlisi post hoc de l'estudi INSUPAR sobre els factors de risc de la hipoglicèmia en pacients amb nutrició parenteral total i diabetis tipus 2. També hi han participat diferents centres espanyols.

, endocrinòloga de l'Hospital Universitari Son Llàtzer, ha participat en la publicació de l'article amb el títol "Risk factors for hypoglycemia in patients with total parenteral nutrition and type 2 diabetes: a post-hoc analysis of the insupar study" a la revista Endocrine Practice.
El tractament de l'hiperglicèmia amb insulina és associada amb un augment del risc de la hipoglicèmia en pacients diabetis mellitus tipus 2 (DMT2) que reben nutrició parenteral total (NPT). L'objectiu era determinar els predictors de la hipoglicèmia en pacients amb DMT2 hospitalitzats que reben NPT.
